The Iowa Immunizes Coalition, Iowa Public Health Association, and Iowa Medical Society are excited to share our new children’s book, Bye Bye, Big Sick, with you. The book addresses the common childhood fear of medical visits and vaccinations through an engaging, age-appropriate narrative. The story helps young readers understand that feeling scared is normal while encouraging them to find their courage when it matters most. Through Wren’s journey, children learn that vaccines are an essential way to stay healthy and protect themselves and others. There is a children’s version of the story as well as a board book appropriate for baby/toddler years. Both versions are available in English and Spanish.
